Credor is Seiko's pinnacle luxury line, launched in 1974 (the name derives from the French "crête d'or," or peak of gold) to showcase Japan's finest precious-metal watchmaking and traditional crafts like maki-e lacquer and Mount Fuji-inspired dials. Historically sold almost exclusively in Japan, it introduced Seiko's Spring Drive movement in 1999 and Japan's first tourbillon wristwatch in 2016.
