Tudor was founded in 1926 by Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf as a more accessible sister brand that could use Rolex-grade cases and bracelets with outsourced movements. Long popular with military divers and explorers for models like the Submariner-adjacent "Snowflake," Tudor relaunched internationally in 2013 and now builds many of its own in-house movements.
